 1)     Can I use your stock in DeviantART prints?
Yes! You may. It says so in my stock Terms of Use.

2)     Can I use your stock in prints at websites such as redbubble, etsy, society 6, or offsite at art festivals/shows?
Yes, you may as long as you credit me, post the art on deviantART first, and follow my Terms of Use.

3)    I made art with your stock and am exhibiting at an art show/gallery. I want to sell the original piece. Is this commercial use? Do I need a commercial use license?
No, you do not need a commercial use license, since you are selling the original art one time. You still have to follow my Terms of Use.

4)    Can I use your stock in advertisements or commercials? Can I if I purchase a commercial stock license?
I deal with this on a case by case basis. Please note me and I'll talk to you about it. Generally if you've used my stock in a piece and are using it to promote yourself and your art services I'm ok with it. But you are going to need to purchase a commercial use license so you gotta contact me.

 5)    Can I use your stock in book/cd covers? Do I need to purchase a commercial use license?
Yes, you may use my stock for book covers as long as you follow my Terms of Use and I am credited. If you are making covers for purchase (commissioned/premade) or for a novel/cd that will be available for purchase, you will need to purchase a commercial use license. This includes e-books being sold through sites such as lulu.com, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.  I would like to get a copy of the book if possible.

If you are making the cover for use wattpad, figment, or writing community where you will not be selling your book, Note me with the details so we can work out how I will be credited.

6)    I would like to put my art using your stock on/in merchandise such as mugs, phone cases, greeting cards, t-shirts, etc.  Is this commercial use? Do I need a commercial use license?
I consider this commercial use. I deal with this sort of use on a case by case basis. You may need a commercial license depending on how many of items you want to sell and what you’re doing.

7)    What are your rates for commercial licenses?

Commercial License Rates:
Non-Model Stock Images:  $5 USD/image
Model Stock Images: $10 USD/image

Rates are subject to change and will be updated accordingly. If you purchased a license before a rate change, you will not be charged the difference ever.  Commercial licenses are a one-time purchase per image. So if you decide to reuse an image you bought a license for, you will not need to purchase another license for that image.

I have a small handful of stock images that commercial licenses are not available for.

8)    Can I use your stock in my school projects? In my art for my portfolio?
Yes, you may as long as my Terms of Use is followed and I am properly credited and notified.  Be sure to follow your instructor’s/professor’s/teacher’s policy about crediting and citing sources.

 9)    I really like one of your photographs that’s not stock. Can I please use it, even though it’s not stock?
No. You absolutely cannot use these images since they are part of my portfolio. One of my models has not agreed to be a stock model and she is featured in many of my non-stock photos. This includes drawing references.

 10)    I’m with a nonprofit group/educational group/institution and would like to use your stock in a newsletter/display/exhibit. May I?
I deal with this on a case by case basis.  Please contact me with what you want to do.  Examples of groups in question: Zoos, Nature Centers, State Parks, Botanical Gardens, Museums, Master Gardeners, Scientific Societies,  and 4-H.  You are required to credit me and may have to pay a commercial usage fee.

11)    Can I post the art I made with your stock to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or other social media?
Yes, you may as long as you post the work on DeviantART, credit me on the social media website, and follow my Terms of Use

Please send me a link to your work on the website, I may share/like/reblog your post.

Websites that you can post art created from my stock as long as you follow the stipulations and my TOU above
-tumblr
-Facebook
-Google+
-Behance
-Twitter
-Instagram
-Shadowness
-youtube
-Personal Blogs on word press, blogger, live journal, etc.
-artist website

How to credit me on other websites
Behance: ebarbeau
Tumblr: erinsdoodling
Facebook: E Barbeau Photography
 instragram: @ artistic_doodle_bug
other websites listed: link to my deviant profile or my deviantart user name linked to stock image! Most websites use html codes so you can link it like this <(remove space)a href="link"> My name <(remove space)/a>

 12)    Can I post/share your stock images on Tumblr, Facebook, Pinterest, and/or other sites?
No. You cannot redistribute my stock. That means no posting my stock on other sites.

13)    What sort of sites do I need to get permission to post my art using you stock outside of deviantART?
These include roleplaying websites, forums, writing websites (see above about book covers), contest websites, non-social media websites, video websites, organization websites, and so on.  If you not sure  if your site falls into this category, please ask me.

14)    Can I use your stock in my roleplay on DeviantART? Or on my roleplaying site?
You may use my stock in roleplays only if you modify it, credit me, and follow my Terms of Use. You cannot use the raw image. You must make a photo manipulation or drawing/painting using it. For roleplays on DeviantART you may use my stock as long as you have followed the stipulations above.

For offsite roleplays you must get my permission for use of my stock, follow the above stipulation about modification, credit me, and follow my Terms of Use.

 15) Can I make horse/wolf pictures with your stock?
Yeah, if you follow my
Terms of Use.

16) Can I use you stock to reference costumes/poses/drapery for my drawing/painting? Does this violate your rule about replacing the model's face?

Yes, you can reference from my stock! It's perfectly ok to use pose/costumes/etc for references for your art provided you follow my other rules (especially about content). I reference stuff all the time when I draw and understand the importance of referencing :)

The replacing the model's face rule more applies to photo manipulations since in the past people have used my stock in photo manipulations just for the costume and replaced the model's face with another model's face. I don't particularly like it.

 17) I can't credit you on the project I'm working on, can I still use your stock?

There is only one exception to this rule. But the answer is NO for all other cases. The exception to the rule is if you are an art student or exhibiting in a art show where you can't put the credit on because of show/assignment/portfolio review constraints. I expect to see your piece and if you have uploaded it to deviantART/tumblr/behance/wherever, You must credit me there.

19) Can I still use stock that's no longer available for download?

Yes and no. If you had previously downloaded it, yes. If you're asking to use it because you can't download it, no.

: 20) I am making a premium download premade background, do I need to get a commercial use license to use your stock?
Yes, you do. You're selling something made with my stock that's not a art print.

 21) I have a digital art piece I used your stock in that I'm offering as a premium download, do I need to get a commercial license?
No, I consider this to be an art print situation. If you're selling premade backgrounds, that'd be different.

22) I don't have an deviantart and want to use your stock, how do I contact you?
You can contact me at ebarbeauphotography[at]gmail.com. This is my business email and as such, I will not respond to personal inquiries, only inquiries about stock/photography. Please note, I do not take stock/photography requests.

:new: 23) If I purchase a commercial license does that mean I don't have to credit you when I post my piece? :new:

No. You are still required to credit me when you post your piece on your DeviantART account, website, facebook, Behance, etc.

Just to clarify and be 100% sure: Do you allow the use of your stock to create linearts, bases and such either for regular use (free to use), premium content sales (pay to use) and/or ARPG Import images (free to use for group members)?
And would that require a license?

I just want to check since I'd love to make a cobra lineart with your stock for a Reptile ARPG.
